Have you been downtown Chicago lately and wondered how they get all of the gardens on rooftops of high rises?  Why do they do that?  Not only do they look good, vegetated roofs reduce heat gain, so structures are cooler in the summer and warmer in winter.  Please join us as we learn all about green roofs, living walls and sustainable landscaping with Kevin Crist of Intrinsic Landscaping.  Intrinsic has pioneered the construction of green roofs and living walls in the Chicago Metro area, including institutions, municipal buildings, museums, residences, and commercial buildings.
